Report on “Spadio” the Sauna & Capsule Hotel in Namba Osaka: Part2

Here we introduce the capsule hotel called “Spadio” located in Sakuragawa, near Namba, Osaka. In Part 2, we talk about the restaurant inside the hotel.

This is the Part 2 of the article about the capsule hotel, “Spadio”. In Part 1, I talked about their facilities like the hot springs and “capsule” room, but here in Part 2, I’ll write about the izakaya located inside the hotel.

How About a Nightcap at the Izakaya (Japanese Style Bar) in the Hotel?

You can walk around the hotel wearing the hotel clothes.

However, an izakaya inside the hotel where you can relax and eat whlle wearing your hotel clothing is exceptionally good, isn’t it?

However, it was a bit disappointing that I could see some fallen scraps on the floor, which was even more noticeable when walking barefoot.

Anyway, let’s start with some draft beer after the bath!

When I was looking at the drink menu to order my beer, a waitress came up to me and said, “There’s a value menu.”

This is it! This is “Horoyoi Set(slightly drunk)”, with a set of light snacks and beer for 1000 yen.

I placed my order with no hesitation.

Beer after a bath tastes exceptionally good!

I had some drinks before I went to the capsule hotel and was feeling light-headed when I came in. But my body that was reset by the sauna still craves beer. This is the infinity loop!

Here are the snacks that came with the order: Dashimaki-tamago (Japanese omelet), Squid, Salmon sashimi, cold tofu, and grated daikon with dried small fish.

These go well with alcohol, don’t you think?

I had Umeshu Soda next (400 yen). It is a mixed drink with Japanese plum liqueur and soda.

The bubbliness is awesome after the bath.

So, let’s talk about the main dish.

I found “Nikusui” and “Onigiri” (Japanese rice ball) on the menu, and I decided to order them.

Although 980 yen is a little expensive, the price made me suspect they are using good meat. “Nikusui” is an Osaka specialty, a Japanese broth soup with beef, soft-boiled eggs, tofu, and so on. It is simple, but the taste the broth and the beef creates is so awesome. Osaka people love it.

These are the “Nikusui” and “Onigiri.”

So how about it?! It looks so awesome after you get drunk from a few beers, doesn’t it!!???

I know this will be delicious for sure!!!

I was surprised by soft the beef was and delicious it was.

The oil tasted sweet. There were many other ingredients like tofu, green onion, and shimeji mushroom.

The broth tasted delicious too. It was a perfect match with the rice balls!

Lastly, I had this green tea shaved ice (530 yen) for dessert.

But to be honest, this wasn’t very good. The syrup was thin. It didn’t taste like tea alone bit. The ice was too crunchy and not smooth at all….sad.

For the two of us, drinking and eating, the bill came to 5570 yen. It’s not bad right?

We drak, walked around, enjoyed the hot spring, daink again in relaxing clothing...and then all we had to do is sleep! This is the height of luxury.

It was my first capsule hotel experience ever, but overall, it was really awesome. If I have a chance, I would love to stay there one more time! Haha.

I’m not sure how it is for couples or a family, but for single people or guys, it is such a great deal. Please give them a visit!
