Ishikawa Prefecture is in the Hokuriku region; in the middle of the main land of Japan. The prefecture faces the Sea of Japan, which is thought to bring blessings from the ocean. Kanazawa City is its capital; it has a traditional and beautiful streetscape and is often called Little Kyoto. Tourism is the most successful industry in the prefecture. Not only Kanazawa, but Hakusan and Komatsu have scenic views as well.
