Hokuriku is one of the Japanese regions which is located in the middle of the main land of Japan and includes Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui Prefctures. There are many ski slopes in the region that attract tourists in winter. Hokuriku Shinkansen is available from Tokyo. When you are in the region, the Hokuriku Pass from JR (Japan Railways) gives you unlimited rides within Hokuriku. There is the Hokuriku Expressway which you can take while you are on trip to Hokuriku by a car as well.
