Japanese spaghetti

Spaghetti is almost synonymous with pasta in the eyes of most Japanese people. That happened becuase of a misunderstanding when spaghetti was imported to Japan for the first time. Some restaurants making spaghetti used traditional Italian recipes, but some others attempted to create their own sauce. Neapolitan (using ketchup in sauce) and Mentaiko (using cod roe in sauce) are popular Japanese-fused-Italian dishes.
