Dango

Dango is a Japanese dumpling that is made of mochiko flour and anko (sweet red bean paste). As the name suggests, mochiko is made of mochi rice, which is sticky and chewy. In spring, Japanese people eat it as they watch cherry blossoms. There is a proverb about this delicious sweet: "hana yori dango." It means people prefer eating dango than seeing flowers. Well-said!
