lunch

Buying lunch in Japan is renowned for ‘good quality and good values’. Even the ones become expensive on a dinner menu, such as Sushi or Kaisen don (a variety of fresh seafood on rice), you can only pay up to ¥1000 for lunch. You often see menus for a lunch buffet at a restaurant. Normally, those restaurants are near a station or in a department store within a station building. It is common to have a boxed lunch/meal called bento, and you can buy a reasonable bento lunch box at a bento store or a convenience store.
