Yayoi period

The Yayoi period is considered as a second era in Japanese history following after the Jomon period and regarded to have lasted from 300 BC to 300 AC for about 600 years. New cultures that are distinct from the Jomon period are mainly the rice cultivation, arts such as pottery, and clothing. Because of its emergence and evolution of farming, the Yayoi period leads to the Kofun period next.
