Azuchi-Momoyama period

Azhchi-Momoyama period is the age of political unification under the daimyo Oda Nobunaga and his successor Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who finally brought all provinces under the control of the central government. The building of great castles and mansions replaced temple architecture. The fact is, it was the time of Japanese cultural accomplishment of tea ceremony by the great master Sen no Rikyu.
