Ochanomizu is an area in Tokyo. It features a busy station, making it easily accessible by train. The area’s name literally means “tea water”, and refers to the nearby Kanda river, lined with green trees. This river’s waters were used to make tea for the shogun in the Edo Period. Ochanomizu has hotels and many well known universities. However, the area might be most famous for its so called “Guitar Street”, where you can find guitars and musical instruments of all shapes and sizes.
